Our yarn is processed in New Zealand and comprises 1ply - 70% Alpaca/30% Silk, 2, 4 and 8 plys – 100% Alpaca and we have a Boucle range. Our yarn is available in 50gram balls and also on cones. Angela runs a dye studio in a converted farm shed, crafting artisan hand-dyed yarns and fibers, specializing in alpaca. As a visual artist, Angela uses yarn and dye like a canvas, creating vibrant colors and evoking emotions. Each skein from Blackwattle is unique, contributing to one-of-a-kind garments and projects. Hodgepodge Skeins is a creative dye studio located in the heart of the Blue Mountains.  My journing into dyeing yarn was born out of a love for colour and to try and create the combinations that I could see in my mind and in my surroundings. I have sourced Australian yarn to further production within Australia and have showcased this with exciting colourways that are unique and stirring to create with.

Lyrebird Yarns is Helen Keenan, a fibre artist based in the Blue Mountains. She has been spinning since 2013. All the yarns are one-off designs, made from locally sourced fibre where possible. Yarns and fibres are tested for colour-fastness before being offered for sale, although there may be slight colour bleed in the first few washes.  Its always recommended to gently hand-wash in cool water separate to other items.
